How to add a zipper & liner to crochet projects
Crocheting with a zipper and liner can be a fun and rewarding project, but it might seem a little intimidating at first. Don't worry, though! With a bit of practice and patience, you'll be able to create beautiful and functional crochet projects that will last for years. Here are some tips to help you get started:
1. Choose a Zipper Pouch & Materials: Canvas zipper pouches work super well but you can use any style pouch. Pick colors and textures that inspire you and make you excited to start your project. Here are links to my favorites: Small & Medium. You will need a 2.25mm steel crochet hook in addition to whatever hook you choose for your crochet project. Last but not least, you need yarn! Here’s the yarn I used for my Kiss & Makeup Pattern: Re-Spun by Lion Brand
2. Measure Your Zipper Pouch: Plan your crochet project size around the size of the zipper pouch. Remember to account for yarn stretch.
3. Crochet your project! I recommend my Kiss & Makeup Bag pattern. You can use this technique with lots of different projects!
4. Attach Your Zipper Pouch: Below is a video tutorial demonstrating this technique.
