notes:

This pattern is written in US Terminology and Imperial Measurements.

I highly recommend watching the video tutorial above before starting.

This pattern is written in crochet shorthand. Example: "SC 1" means to single crochet in the next stitch and "SC 30" means to single crochet into the next 30 stitches.

Work into the back bumps of starting chain and straps to ensure the ends & sides are consistent. Watch video tutorial.

The body of the tote is worked back and forth in rows and then folded across widthwise to seam sides.

The border of the tote is worked into the end of each row. Working HSC 1 into the CH 1 at the end of every other row and work INC in the last stitch of every other row.

You do not need to turn when working HSC in the round For the border.

The straps of tote can be customized to desired length but keep in mind the yarn will stretch and lengthen over time.
