This pattern is written in crochet shorthand. Example: "SC 1" means to single crochet in the next stitch and "SC 30" means to single crochet into the next 30 stitches.

Chain 1 (CH 1) at the beginning of each round does not count as a stitch.

To change color, work the stitch as normal to the last yarn over. Yarn over with the new color and complete the stitch.

I recommend using starch to block the rug to maintain its shape while preventing pilling.
